ISMA CONDUCTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SEMINARS FOR ITS MEMBERS AND OTHER SECURITY EXECUTIVES. THE OBJECTIVES OF THESE CONFERENCES IS TO PROVIDE EXECUTIVE TRAINING TO ITS MEMBERS AND TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION OF CURRENT SECURITY ISSUES, THREATS AND PRACTICES.SEE SCHEDULE O - SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION.DURING 2021, ISMA CONDUCTED SIX CONFERENCES FOR ITS MEMBERS WHICH INCLUDED ONE CONFERENCE THAT WAS HELD IN PERSON IN LONDON WHICH INCLUDED 29 ATTENDEES; TWO CONFERENCES THAT WERE HELD VIRTUALLY WHICH INCLUDED 144 AND 124 ATTENDEES, RESPECTIVELY; TWO CONFERENCES THAT WERE HELD VIRTUALLY, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE KELLOGG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, WHICH INCLUDED 50 AND 51 TOTAL ATTENDEES, RESPECTIVELY; AND ONE CONFERENCE THAT WAS HELD VIRTUALLY, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE TECHNISHE HOCHSCHULE INGLSTADT, A GERMAN UNIVERSITY, WHICH INCLUDED 18 ATTENDEES. ADDITIONALLY, ISMA HELD FOUR WEBINARS ON VARIOUS TOPICS AVERAGING 69 ATTENDEES PER WEBINAR AND TWELVE ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION FORUMS THAT WERE HELD VIRTUALLY AVERAGING 32 ATTENDEES PER FORUM. FEES WERE NOT CHARGED TO ATTEND THE WEBINARS OR FORUMS.
COMMUNICATION NETWORK - TECHNOLOGY TOOLS ARE USED TO PROMOTE RESOURCE SHARING AMONG MEMBERS. TOOLS INCLUDE A COMMUNICATION DATA-BASE BUILT INTO THE ISMA WEBSITE, AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION CAPABILITY, A RESOURCE LIBRARY, A BENCHMAKING SURVEY PROGRAM, SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP DISCUSSIONS AND FORUMS, AND MOBILE WEBSITE TO ALLOW COMMUNICATIONS ON THE GO. THE OBJECTIVES OF THESE NETWORKS AND TOOLS IS TO PROVIDE MEMBERS WITH TIMELY AND RELIABLE GUIDANCE ON GLOBAL SECURITY ISSUES.
GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATES PROGRAM: EXECUTIVES FROM KEY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN ISMA AS LIAISONS BETWEEN MEMBER AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENCIES. THIS IS INTENDED TO FACILITATE PUBLIC/PRIVATE SECTOR PARTNERING ON GLOBAL SECURITY ISSUES OF CONCERN TO ISMA MEMBERS, AND FACILITATE THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION.
