CARE AND REHABILITATION OF INJURED AND DISPLACED ANIMALS. CEDAR RUN'S WILDLIFE HOSPITAL ADMITS MORE THAN 6,000 ANIMALS EVERY YEAR AND ONLY ACCEPTS NATIVE WILDLIFE TO NEW JERSEY.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF WILDLIFE HABITAT AND PRESERVATION OF SAME. UTILIZING THE WOODFORD NATURE CENTER AS HOME BASE, CEDAR RUN IS ABLE TO OFFER A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES INCLUDING HIGH-QUALITY FIELD TRIPS, ENGAGING CLASSROOM PRESENTATIONS, AND INFORMATIVE PROGRAMMING. CEDAR RUN'S FACILITIES INCLUDE A NATURE CENTER WITH CLASSROOM AND PINELANDS EXHIBITS, OUTDOOR WILDLIFE HOUSING AREA WITH NEARLY 60 RESIDENT WILD ANIMALS AND A COVERED PICNIC PAVILION. FIELD TRIPS TO CEDAR RUN WILDLIFE REFUGE COMPLEMENT THE NEW JERSEY STATE LEARNING STANDARDS AND NUMEROUS SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH (STEM) AND NEXT GENERATION SCIENCE STANDARDS (NGSS) DISCIPLINARY CORE IDEAS AND ARE EASILY ADAPTED TO COVER COURSEWORK AT PRIVATE SCHOOLS, HOMESCHOOL, YOUTH GROUPS, AND ADULT AUDIENCES. CEDAR RUN ALSO OFFERS REFUGE ON WHEELS PROGRAMS SO THAT CHILDREN AND ADULTS CAN INTERACT WITH NATURE AT THEIR LOCATION.
