MT. OLIVE CHILD CARE & LEARNING CENTER, INC. (THE "CENTER") WAS FOUNDED IN 1976 AS A NON-PROFIT CHARITY TO PROVIDE QUALITY, AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE AND EDUCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY: REGARDLESS OF INCOME. OVER 8,000 RESIDENTS OF MORRIS, SUSSEX, AND WARREN COUNTIES, AS WELL AS SURROUNDING AREAS, HAVE BEEN SERVED OVER THE PAST 45 YEARS. THE CENTER SERVES UP TO 110 CHILDREN, AGED 6 WEEKS THROUGH 12 YEARS, ON A YEAR 'ROUND BASIS FROM 6:30 A.M. TO 6:30 P.M. VALUE ADDED SERVICES ARE INCLUDED: NUTRITIOUS MEALS, DEVELOPMENTAL AND HEALTH SCREENINGS, PARENTING PROGRAMS (INCLUDING A FREE PARENT EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM FOR "AT-RISK" FAMILIES), AND CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES ARE INCLUDED. THE CENTER HAS BEEN ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN (NAEYC) SINCE 1993 FOR ALL PROGRAMS: FOR 27 CONSECUTIVE YEARS FOR MEETING AND MAINTAINING RECOGNIZED TOP STANDARDS IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION IN 10 AREAS: POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS, CURRICULUM, TEACHERS AND TEACHING PRACTICES, ASSESSMENT, NUTRITION AND HEALTH, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND INVOLVEMENT, PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT, AND ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT. IN ADDITION, THE CENTER EARNED 4 STARS IN NEW JERSEY'S QUALITY RATING IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM (GROW NJ KIDS) IN MID-2017 FOR MEETING HIGH QUALITY STANDARDS.
