THE SHORT HILLS ASSOCIATION SENDS A WEEKLY NEWSLETTER TO MEMBERS PROVIDING INFORMATION ON CURRENT TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THE COMMUNITY CONCERNING LOCAL MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT, PARTICULARLY THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE AND THE PLANNING BOARD. BY OCCASIONALLY MEETING WITH TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS AND ATTENDING KEY COMMITTEE MEETINGS, WE ATTEMPT TO REPORT AND HIGHLIGHT THE ISSUES OF SPECIAL IMPORTANCE TO RESIDENTS THAT ARE DISCUSSED AT THESE MEETINGS. DURING EACH ANNUAL ELECTION CYCLE, WE ORGANIZE, CONDUCT AND MODERATE IMPARTIAL ELECTION FORUMS AMONG CANDIDATES FOR THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE AND BOARD OF EDUCATION, WHEN CONTESTED, TO ALLOW RESIDENTS TO MAKE INFORMED VOTING DECISIONS.
