KIBUYE SOLAR EXPANSION - 22 PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLED TO BURNDI, AFRICA TO EXPAND THE CAPABILITY OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED. THE TEAM SPENT 28 DAYS OF TRAVEL AND ON-SITE WORK. YOUNG LIFE TEXAN - 32 PARTICIPANTS WERE IN THE TEXAS FACILITY INPROVING HIGH VOLTAGE DISTRIBUTION AND BUTYING UNDERGROUND CABLING AND INSTALLING TRANSFORMER NEEDS. CREWS OVERLAPPED WITH EACH OTHER WITH THE ENTIRE PROJECT TAKING APPROXIMATELY ONE OMONTH TO COMPLETE. ECHO FARMS FLORIDA - 23 PARTICIPANTS WERE IN FLORIDA INSTALLYING A SOLAR ELECTRIC SYSTEM FOR THE MISSIONARY TRAINING FACILITY THERE. THE TEAM SPENT NONE DAYS ON SITE. TWO PARTICIPANTS SPENT AN ADDITIONAL DAY PERFORMING MAINTENANCEON THE SYSTEM PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED. HOPE AFRICA UNIVERISTY SOLAR SURVEY - 5 PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLED TO BURUNDI, AFRICA TO ALAYZE THE SYSTEM THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTLLED AND MADE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE EXPANSION OF THE SYSTEM DUE TO INCREASED DEMAND. CONGO SURVEY - 2 INDIVIDUALS TRAVELLED TO THE SOUTHERN REGION OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO TO SURVY THE ELECTRICAL NEEDS OF SEVERAL LOCATIONS. THE PROJECT TOOK APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK TO COMPLETE. NUNDU DEACONESS HOSPITAL EXPANSION - 9 PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLED TO THE DEOMCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO TO EXPAND THE ELECTRICAL CAPABILITIES OF THE PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED SYSTEM DUE TO INCREASED DEMAND. THE PROJECT LASTED TWO WEEKS. YWAM JAMAICA SURVEY - 5 PARTICIPANTS TRAVELLED TO MONTEGO BAY, JAMICA TO SURVEY THE NEEDS OF THE MISSION BASE THERE. THE PROJECT SURVEY TOOK THREE DAYS. A NEW PRJECT UNDER DEVELOPMENT DURING THE YEAR WAS CALLED THE MINI POWER PAC. IT'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE A LIMITED POWER SYSTEM FOR SOLAR APPLICATIONS THAT CAN BE DELIVERED BY A LOCAL PICKUP VIHICLE AS OPPOSED TO OUR REGULAR TWENTY AND FORTY FOOT POWER PAC INSTALLATIONS THAT REQUIRE HEAVY EQUIPMENT TO TRANSPORT.
