THE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDRENS' BASEBALL PROGRAM PART OF OUR MISSION CONTINUED TO SERVE 200 CHILDREN ON 16 TEAMS, MAKING IT ONE OF THE LARGEST MIRACLE LEAGUE PROGRAMS IN THE COUNTRY. THE PROGRAM INITIALLY STARTED IN 2006 WITH 65 CHILDREN ON 4 TEAMS. A DATABASE OF VOLUNTEERS HAS GROWN TO NEARLY 400, WITH EACH CHILD PAIRED WITH A VOLUNTEER BUDDY. ASSISTANCE WAS RENDERED TO A 2ND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITY, MANITOWOC, WHO IS IN THE PROCESS OF BUILDING A SIMILAR RUBBER SURFACE FIELD AND STARTING UP A MIRACLE LEAGUE PROGRAM THERE IN 2014. APPLETON IS THE OTHER COMMUNITY, STARTED BY A FAMILY WHOSE SON PLAYED IN GREEN BAY.
