THE BRIGHTER DEKALB FOUNDATION, INC. WAS ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING AND ADVANCING CORPORATE SUPPORT, FOUNDATIONAL SUPPORT, FUND- RAISING ACTIVITIES AND GRANT OPPORTUNITIES TO BENEFIT DEKALB COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD AND THOSE CONSUMERS RECEIVING TREATMENT AND SERVICES THEREFROM.

THE DEKALB COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD (CSB) IS A PUBLIC AGENCY IN DEKALB COUNTY, GA. PROVIDING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THE AGENCY OPERATES FOUR OUTPATIENT CLINICS, A PEER SUPPORT AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM, TWO PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAMS, CRISIS SERVICES, AN OUTPATIENT CLINIC FOR DRUG AND ALCHOHOL ADDICTION, CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES, A MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM AND A VETERAN'S SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM. ANNUALLY THE AGENCY SERVES OVER 10,000 PEOPLE, THE MAJORITY OF WHICH ARE UNINSURED. THE STAFF OF PHYSICIANS, NURSES, CLINICIANS, AND SUPPORT PERSONNELL ARE DEDICATED TO HELPING CLIENTS RECOVER FROM THESE DEBILITATING DISABLILITIES AND RESUME PRODUCTIVE LIVES. AS PART OF ITS MISSION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROGRAM OF DEKALB CSB.
THE CSB ALSO PROVIDES DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO ADULTS. THE AGENCY OPERATES DCAY PROGRAMS THAT OFFER WORK ACTIVITIES, DAY HABILITATION, PHYSICAL THERAPY AND COMMUNITY ACCES ACTIVITIES. ADDISTIONALLY, THE AGENCY OPERATES A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM WITH ELEVEN HOMES. AS PART OF ITS MISSION, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SUPPORT TO THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROGRAM OF DEKALB CSB.
