THE GEORGIA ROBOTICS ALLIANCE IS OPERATED TO SUPPORT AND EXPAND THE ACTIVITIES OF STEM RELATED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, ESPECIALLY THOSE UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE FIRST ROBOTICS PROGRAMS, IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA AND THE SOUTHEAST.

THE GEORGIA ROBOTICS ALLIANCE HAS SUPPORTED A TOTAL OF 28 HIGH SCHOOL FIRST, FTC, AND VEX ROBOTICS TEAMS AND HAS ASSUMED SUPPORT OF THE BEST ROBOTICS PROGRAM FOR THE STATE OF GEORGIA IN THE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF STEM RELATED ACTIVITIES IN METRO ATLANTA AREA HIGH SCHOOLS. THE GRA HAS EXPANDED THIS SUPPORT TO INCLUDE A STUDENT DRIVEN ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL ORIENTED DRONE CONSTRUCTION AND COMPETITION EFFORT. TIS PROGRAM HAS GROWN TO INCLUDE SUPPORT OF A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM THAT COMPETES IN THE UAV4STEM NATIONAL PROGRAM. THE GRA'S EFFORTS HAVE AIDED THESE ORGANIZATIONS IN RECEIVING A TOTAL OF $152,941.16 IN FUNDING FOR SUPPORT OF THEIR PROGRAMS. THE ALLIANCE HAS ALSO ASSISTED TEAMS IN PROCURING IN-KIND DONATIONS OF SOFTWARE FOR THEIR OPERATIONS.
THE MEMBERS OF THE GRA EXPENDED A TOTAL OF $132,363.29 IN SUPPORT OF THEIR STEM PROGRAMS, INCLUDING EXPENSES FOR ROBOT CONSTRUCTION, ENTRY FEES, AND EXPENSES FOR LOCAL AND WORLD COMPETITIONS.
