URGENT NEEDS GRANTS PROVIDES EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT FOR TEMPORARY, ONE TIME OR SHORT TERM NEEDS THAT THREATEN THE SELF SUFFICIENCY OF A FAMILY'S OR INDIVIDUAL BASIC NECESSITIES. OVER 90% ARE FOR RENTS OR RELATED LIVING EXPENSES.
INDEPENDENT LIVING GRANTS PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND GUIDIANCE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE PERMANENTLY UNABLE TO WORK BUT ABLE TO LIVE ON AN ENTITLED FIXED INCOME SUCH AS THEIR RETIREMENT INCOME OR PERMANENT DISABILITY INCOME. THEIR SITUATION ARE FREQUENTLY THOSE THAT HINDER THEIR ABILITY TO REMAIN INDEPENDENT OR REMAIN IN THEIR HOME.
BRIDGE TO EMPLOYMENT GRANTS, PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR FEES ALLOWING A TEMPORARY UNEMPLOYED INDIVIDUAL TO RETURN TO PRODUCTIVE FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT. THE MAJORITY OF THESE GRANTS ARE PROVIDED FOR CAR REPAIRS.
