THE FRIENDS FOR LIFE GUILD IS A MEMBER OF THE SEATTLE CHILDREN'S GUILD ASSOCIATION, A TAX-EXEMPT FUNDRAISING ENTITY OF SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. THE HOSPITAL PROVIDES PEDIATRIC PATIENT CARE, MEDICAL RESEARCH, TEACHING OF PEDIATRIC RESIDENTS AND OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS, AS WELL AS ADVOCACY FOR CHILDREN IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.THE GUILD'S SIGNATURE EVENT IS THE ANNUAL SALE OF HAND-BLOWN GLASS ORNAMENTS AND VOTIVES. EACH YEAR AN AMBASSADOR WHO HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER IS SELECTED TO HELP WIH THE DESIGN BY CHOOSING THE COLORS AND FINAL DESIGN. EACH ITEM IS AS UNIQUE AS EACH CHILD AND THEIR CHILDHOOD CANCER EXPERIENCE. THE GUILD'S GOAL IS TO FUND CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH AT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, WITH THE BELIEF THAT "HOPE IS IN THE RESEARCH."
