TO PROVIDE A FACILITY THAT WILL HOUSE THE PUBLIC AND PROVIDE PROGRAMS THAT WILL ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATIONTHE GRANT PROJECT WILL TRANSITION 2226 HAMPTON STREET TO A HISTORICAL EDUCATIONAL CENTER DEPICTING THE HISTORY AND CONTRIBUTION OF THE ATTENDING PHYSICIANS. THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATIONAL CENTER TO INCLUDE CONDUCTING 15-20 ORAL HISTORY INTERVIEWS WITH FORMER PHYSICIANS WHO PRACTICED IN THE BUILDING, FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE PHYSICIANS AND OTHERS WHO HAVE FIRST-HAND RECOLLECTIONS OF THE BUILDINGS USE AND CULTURAL SENSE OF PLACE WITHIN THE WAVERLY COMMUNITY.
