THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE MIDWIFERY SUPPORT AND SERVICES TO PREGNANT WOMEN IN PREPARATION FOR CHILD-BIRTH AND PARENTHOOD. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE EDUCATION, TRAINING AND COUNSELING AS WELL AS MEDICAL, EMOTIONAL, SPIRITUAL AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. OUR VISION FOR EVERY LABORING PERSON IS TO HAVE THE UNDIVIDED ATTENTION OF A WELL-RESTED MIDWIFE, ALONG WITH THE NECESSARY EDUCATION TO OPTIMIZE THE CHANCE THAT SHE WILL EXPERIENCE A BIRTH THAT IS SAFE, PERSONAL, SUPPORTED, RESPECTFUL AND FULFILLING. SINCE 2007 OVER EIGHTEEN HUNDRED AREA FAMILIES HAVE CHOSEN TO USE THE SERVICES OF BREATH OF LIFE BIRTH CENTER. OUR PRIMARY SERVICES FOCUS ON PROVIDING QUALITY AND ACCESSIBLE MIDWIFERY SERVICES IN PRENATAL CARE, CHILDBIRTH, AND POST-PARTUM CARE. IN ADDITION WE PROVIDE WELL-WOMAN CARE, INCLUDING ANNUAL EXAMINATIONS, TREATMENT OF INFECTIONS, CONTRACEPTION, AND REFERRALS TO SPECIALISTS AS NEEDED. 90% VAGINAL BIRTHS OVERALL, 50% WATER BIRTHS AND A VERY LOW CESAREAN RATE INDICATE THE ORGANIZATION IS ACCOMPLISHING ITS EXEMPT PURPOSE. LAB PROCEDURES, ULTRASOUNDS AND BLOOD WORK ARE PERFORMED ONSITE AS WELL AS POSTPARTUM VISITS.
