IN OUR NORTHERN MAINE COMMUNITY OF PRESQUE ISLE, MAINE, WINTERGREEN ARTS CENTER HAS SERVED WELL OVER 1000 CHILDREN IN THE PAST YEAR. ACTIVITIES HAVE INCLUDED A SUCCESSFUL AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM FOR OVER 50 STUDENTS, SUMMER CAMP FOR OVER 80 STUDENTS, WEEKLY MINI MONET, TODDLE IN TIME, VERY POPULAR PRESCHOOL PROGRAM, MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES, AND OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS WITH A COUNT OF OVER 1,000 IN ATTENDANCE. OUR "FIRST FRIDAY" OPEN HOUSE HAS PROVEN TO BE A GREAT SUCCESS WITH SOMETIMES HAVING OVER 60 ADULTS ATTENDING FOR AN EVENING OF SOCIALIZING, OBSERVING THE ART DISPLAYS, LEARNING ABOUT THE UP- COMING PROGRAMS, ETC. ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES SUPPORT OUR MISSION AND DESIRE TO EXPAND ACCESS TO AND EXPLORATION OF THE ARTS IN OUR LOCAL AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS. WINTERGREEN ARTS IS CREATING JOBS IN THE CREATIVE SECTOR.
