THE MISSION OF COVER HOME REPAIR IS TO BUILD COMMUNITY AND FOSTER HOPE THROUGH COOPERATION AND FELLOWSHIP AMONG ALL HOME REPAIR AND REUSE PARTICIPANTS.

THE HOME REPAIR PROGRAM ORGANIZES VOLUNTEERS TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOW-INCOME, ELDERLY AND DISABLED UPPER VALLEY RESIDENTS TO PROVIDE URGENT HOME REPAIR AT LITTLE TO NO CHARGE. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO MAKE HOMES DRY, WARM AND SAFE WITH PROJECTS THAT INCLUDE ROOF REPAIR, STRUCTURAL REPAIR, WEATHERIZATION, ACCESSIBILITY RAMPS AND MORE. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, CLOSE TO 300 VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED OVER 2,500 HOURS WORKING ON URGENT HOME REPAIR AND WEATHERIZATION PROJECTS.


THE COVER STORE SELLS DONATED GOODS AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE. TYPICAL GOODS INCLUDE APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, RECYCLED BUILDING SUPPLIES AND LIGHT HOUSEHOLD GOODS. THE COVER STORE PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY 12,000 IN FREE ITEMS TO LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS WITH AGENCY REFERRALS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR VOLUNTEERS SPENT ABOUT 2,800 HOURS WORKING IN THE STORE, HELPING WITH RENOVATIONS ON THE COVER BUILDING, AND WORKING ON THE OUTDOOR COMMUNITY MURAL.
