BREAD OF LIFE IS AN EDUCATIONAL PUBLIC-BENEFIT ORGANIZATION (NON-RELIGIOUS) DEDICATED TO EQUIPPING PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS WITH SKILLS THAT FOSTER SPIRITUAL GROWTH, TO BUILDING HEALTHY AND MORE UNDERSTANDING COMMUNITIES, AND ULTIMATELY TO IMPROVING LIVES AND WELL-BEING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMON GOOD. ITS MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE ATTITUDES, SKILLS AND PRACTICES THAT TRANSFORM LIVES, ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES.

THE SPIRITUAL FORMATION PROGRAM OFFERS ONE-ON-ONE SPIRITUAL DIRECTION SESSIONS WITH TRAINED SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS TO APPROXIMATELY 70 PEOPLE PER MONTH. THE PROGRAM'S PURPOSE IS TO ENGAGE PEOPLE IN EXPLORATION OF THEIR LIFE, SKILLS, GOALS, AND PERSONAL SPIRITUAL GROWTH FROM THEIR OWN FAITH BACKGROUND. WE OFFER A ONE-YEAR PROGRAM, WHICH MEETS MONTHLY, TO APPROXIMATELY 18 PEOPLE ANNUALLY WHICH ENGAGES THEM IN LISTENING FOR THE NEXT STEPS IN THEIR LIFE'S WORK AND SPIRITUAL PRACTICE. WE OFFER A 2-YEAR INTENSIVE PROGRAM TO 20 INTERNS WHICH IS AN INTENSIVE PREPARATION PROGRAM FOR BECOMING SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS. LAST, WE OFFER A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE AND A SOUL-TENDER MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM TO 40 PEOPLE ANNUALLY ALLOWING THEM TO BECOME A COMMUNITY IN WHICH TO CARRY OUT THEIR SPIRITUAL DIRECTION WORK AND SUPPORT TO ONE ANOTHER.
