THE GEORGE W. BUSH INSTITUTE DEVELOPS LEADERS, ADVANCES POLICY AND TAKES ACTION TO SOLVE TODAY'S MOST PRESSING CHALLENGES. DOMESTICALLY, THE INSTITUTE FOCUSES ON ECONOMIC GROWTH, EDUCATION REFORM, ENSURING VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES MAKE SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS TO CIVILIAN LIFE AND DEVELOPING A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS FOCUSED ON SOLVING SOCIETY'S MOST CHALLENGING ISSUES. GLOBALLY, THE INSTITUTE FOCUSES ON SAVING WOMEN'S LIVES FROM CERVICAL CANCER IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA; EXTENDING FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY AROUND THE WORLD; AND PROMOTING EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD. ADDITIONALLY, PUBLIC PROGRAMMING AND PUBLICATIONS PROMOTE A GREATER UNDERSTANDING OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENCY AND ENGAGES THE PUBLIC IN THOUGHT PROVOKING WAYS.
