ANEW SUPPORTS ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY BY SERVING CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, PUBLIC AGENCIES AND COMMUNITIES IN NEED WITH USEABLE OBSOLETE OR SURPLUS FURNITURE, FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS AND BUILDING ASSETS THAT ARE DONATED TO ANEW AND BY MATCHING OF SURPLUS RECEIVED FROM PRIVATE AND PUBLIC COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY DONORS TO DONEES WITH THE SUPPORT OF OTHERS THROUGH COLLECTION (INCLUDING DISMANTLING AND REMOVAL) AND REDISTRIBUTION SERVICES. ANEW HELPS COMMUNITIES WHO HAVE AND THOSE WHO NEED SURPLUS ITEMS BY CONNECTING EACH AND REPURPOSING SURPLUS FURNITURE, FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT AND ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS. ANEW PROVIDES LIQUIDATION ALTERNATIVES FOR SURPLUS MATERIALS, DONATING THEM TO UNDERSERVED, CHARITABLE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND PUBLIC AGENCIES. THE ORGANIZATION REPURPOSES QUALITY SURPLUS FURNITURE, FIXTURES, EQUIPMENT AND ARCHITECTURAL MATERIALS FOR THE BENEFIT OF NONPROFIT CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND PUBLIC AGENCIES IN NEED ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. THIS HELPS TO ADVANCE THE MISSION OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS BY REDUCING THEIR CAPITAL EXPENDITURES FOR OFFICE FURNITURE AND INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS, THUS INCREASING FUNDS BUDGETED FOR PROGRAM SERVICES. ANEW FURTHER PROVIDES EDUCATION, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES (INCLUDING REPORTING OF SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENT METRICS) TO ENABLE ITS DONORS TO TAKE SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH RESOURCE RECOVERY, EXTENDING THE LIFE CYCLE OF SURPLUS, AND DIVERSION OF WASTE FROM LANDFILL THROUGH THE STRATEGIC APPLICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES INCLUDING REPURPOSING, REUSE, RESALE, RECYCLING AND RECOVERY OF ENERGY-FROM-WASTE. ANEW WORKED AND CONSULTED WITH EXEMPT ENTITIES TO HELP ESTABLISH AND TEACH SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND CREATE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES TO TRACK AND REPORT THE USE OF WASTE. THE ENTITIES ENGAGED ANEW TO HELP DECOMMISSION BUILDINGS AND WAREHOUSES AND SET A FRAMEWORK SO THAT THE ENTITIES WERE ABLE TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT IN THE FUTURE.
