THE 2020 RN SURVEY WAS CONDUCTED ON OVER 90,000 LICENSED REGISTERED NURSES. THE SURVEY IS REQUIRED BY WISCONSIN STATE STATUTE AND CONDUCTED BY THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF SAFETY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND THE WISCONSIN CENTER FOR NURSING. A RESEARCH TEAM FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON COMPLETED THE ANALYSIS. WCN, WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE NATIONAL RN CASE MANAGER TRAINING CENTER DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED A CURRICULUM TO TRAIN NURSES FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE HEALTH PANDEMICS. PROVIDED DIVERSITY CONSULTANTION TO MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF NURSING PROJECT BEYOND-2 - A HEALTH RESOURCES AND SERVICES ADMINISTRATION GRANT TARGETED AT RECRUITING AND RETAINING NURSING STUDENTS FROM ECONOMICALLY AND EDUCATIONALLY DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS INCLUDING UNDERREPRESENTED MINORITIES. THE CONSULTATION INCLUDES ANNUAL DIVERSITY TRAINING OF THE PROJECT TEAM AND FACULTY.PRESENTED 10TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE, A PAST TO CELEBRATE, A FUTURE TO SHAPE, WHICH HIGHLIGHTED THE HISTORICAL AND UNIQUE ROLE THE NURSING PROFESSION PLAYS IN ACHIEVING EQUITABLE CARE FOR ALL.CONDUCTED THE 2020 WISCONSIN NURSING EDUCATION AND NURSE FACULTY SURVEY. THIS SURVEY SERVES AS A FOUNDATION TO ASSESS THE CAPACITY NOT ONLY OF NURSING EDUCATION PROGRAMS, BUT ALSO NURSES ABILITY TO ADDRESS PREDICTED FUTURE NURSING SHORTAGES THAT WILL IMPACT HEALTHCARE IN OUR STATE.
