MOBILITY AND WELLNESS PROMOTES INDEPENDENCE AND FULLER PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY LIFE FOR THOSE PEOPLE FACING MOBILITY BARRIERS. TIMEBANK MEMBERS TEACH OTHERS TO LEARN THE BUS SYSTEM AND EARN TIMEBANK HOURS BY HELPING A NEIGHBOR USE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM ON THEIR OWN. COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME INDEPENDENT USING THE BUS SYSTEM, BREAKING SOCIAL ISOLATION, INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORK AND PLAY, AND SAVING MONEY.
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROVIDES A POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE TO THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM SO YOUTH CAN WILLINGLY TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS, MAKE AMENDS, AND BUILD HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE RELATIONSHIPS WORKING WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT, SCHOOLS, AND NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS, YOUTH IN THE PROGRAM CAN CONTRIBUTE TO A SAFER, MORE CARING COMMUNITY.
