IN 2023 THE ACTON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (ASB) USED THE DISRUPTION OF THE COVID NATIONAL EMERGENCY (WHICH ENDED MAY 11TH, 2023) TO RETOOL ITS INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, WHICH HAVE INCLUDED THE NATION'S FIRST ONE YEAR MBA PROGRAM, A CONTINUED PUSH FOR INNOVATIVE IN-PERSON DELIVERY THAT DROVE PROGRAM COSTS FROM $65,000 TO $16,500 PER STUDENT PER YEAR AND A TRANSITION TO THE ACTON NGA, OR ACTON NEXT GREAT ADVENTURE PROGRAM. IN THE FLAGSHIP NGA PROGRAM IN 2023, DESPITE COVID RESTRICTIONS, ASB SERVED 186 STUDENTS IN 310 COURSES, RESULTING IN THE AWARDING OVER $18,000 IN NGA FELLOWSHIPS TO 18 FELLOWS. IN MOST CASES, THE COURSES WERE TAUGHT AND/OR FACILITATED BY ASB PROFESSOR JEFF SANDEFER OR TEACHERS (GUIDES) AT ACTON ACADEMY CAMPUSES. OVER $350,000 IN 2023 INVESTMENTS TO THE NGA PLATFORM AND CURRICULUM WILL PREPARE FOR CONTINUED GROWTH IN 2024 AND BEYOND. IN THE FIRST PART OF 2024, AN ADDITIONAL $207,805 IN FELLOWSHIPS HAVE BEEN AWARDED TO 56 STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED THE NGA PROGRAM, AND PILOTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, LAUNCHED OR ARE IN THE PLANNING STAGES FOR 2024-25 WITH UNIVERSIDAD FRANISCO MARROQUIN (THE HOST OF THE ACTON MBA) THE LDS CHURCH AND A MAJOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT GROUP SERVING UNDERSERVED TEENS. OUR LONG-TERM GOAL IS FOR THE NGA PROGRAM TO BE OFFERED TO THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS IN HUNDREDS OF CITIES, SIMILAR TO THE SUCCESSES WE'VE HAD SUPPORTING THE ACTON CHILDREN'S BUSINESS FAIRS AND ACTON ACADEMY CAMPUSES IN HUNDREDS OF CITIES AROUND THE WORLD.
