SUDDEN IMPACT'S VOLLEYBALL CLUB'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE THE BEST TRAINING FOR FEMALE STUDENT VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS IN THE PUGET SOUND REGION, WA. IT BELIEVES A COMPETITIVE ATHLETIC EXPERIENCE WILL ENHANCE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, CONTRIBUTE TO MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH, AND TEACH THE VALUES OF TEAMWORK, RESPONSIBILITY, SELF-DISCIPLINE, AND SELF-MOTIVATION. IT STRIVES TO TAKE EACH PLAYER TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF COMPETITIVENESS WHILE MAINTAINING THEIR LOVE FOR THE GAME.

Part 3 - Line 4a

JUNIOR USAV TEAMS - SELECT, TRAIN AND PREPARE TEAMS TO COMPETE IN LOCAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITIONS SANCTIONED BY USA VOLLEYBALL. TEAMS PRACTICE EITHER 4 OR 6 HOURS PER WEEK FOR 5 -7 MONTHS, DEPENDING ON THEIR AGE, AND COMPETE IN EITHER 1- OR 3-DAY COMPETITIONS. EACH TEAM AVERAGES TWO TOURNAMENTS PER MONTH DURING THEIR SEASON. OFFERED A TOTAL OF 12 TEAMS MADE UP OF 144 PLAYERS.


FOR THE 12TH STRAIGHT YEAR, SIVBC HELD OUR SUMMER CAMP & CLINIC PROGRAM. THIS OFFERS SKILL SPECIFIC GROUP TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS LOOKING TO ENHANCE THEIR SKILLS. PLAYERS CAN SIGN UP FOR 1 OR 3 DAY SKILLS CAMPS OR CLINICS HELD DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. A RECORD REGISTRATION OF 1,108 PARTICIPANTS (UP FROM 1,009 THE YEAR BEFORE).


PRIVATE TRAINING - PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AND SMALL GROUP TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES TO JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS LOOKING TO ENHANCE THEIR INDIVIDUAL SKILLS. PLAYERS WORK WITH A SPECIFIC COACH ON A SCHEDULED BASIS INIATIED BY THE PLAYERS FAMILY. TEAM TRAINING - IN THE FALL WE OFFER MIDDLE SCHOOL AGE TEAM TRAINING TO CLUB TEAMS THAT ARE NOT YET IN HIGH SCHOOL. PLAYERS TRAIN WITH THE TEAM THEY WERE ON THE PREVIOUS CLUB SEASON. OFFERED OUR FALL TEAM TRAINING PROGRAM WITH 3 TEAMS AND 43 PLAYERS PARTICIPATING. OFFERED 3 SESSIONS OF OUR FALL YOUTH CLINIC FOR 5TH - 8TH GRADE PLAYERS TO HELP GROW THE GAME OF VOLLEYBALL. ALL SESSIONS WERE FILLED TO CAPACITY WITH 36 PLAYERS EACH. OFFERED 6 SESSIONS OF OUR YOUTH PROGRAM FOR BEGINNING 4TH - 6TH GRADE PLAYERS. ALL SESSIONS WERE FILLED TO CAPACITY WITH 34 PLAYERS EACH. FIVE TEAMS & 60 PLAYERS EARNED BIDS TO USA VOLLEYBALL'S JUNIOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
