FSG ENGAGED IN OVER 30 EDUCATION AND YOUTH FOCUSED PROJECTS IN 2021, WITH MORE THAN 20 DIFFERENT PARTNERS. MUCH OF OUR WORK FOCUSED ON THE POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION LANDSCAPE, INCLUDING A PROJECT SUPPORTING FOUNDATION GRANTEE NETWORKS ON IMPROVING RETENTION AND COMPLETION RATES FOR STUDENTS OF COLOR AND STUDENTS FROM LOW INCOME BACKGROUNDS. OTHER PROJECTS WERE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPMENTAL EVALUATION AND A LEARNING COMMUNITY AROUND CHILD WELFARE, BUILDING AN INTEGRATED FRAMEWORK AND BUSINESS PLAN FOR A REGIONAL EDUCATION COLLABORATIVE, DEVELOPING A CAPACITY BUILDING AND BUSINESS PLAN FOR A HIGHER EDUCATION CONSORTIUM, AND CONDUCTING A LEARNING AND REFLECTIVE EXERCISE ON THE COLLABORATIVE ELEMENTS OF A FOUNDATION'S EDUCATION PROGRAM.
FSG'S US HEALTH PRACTICE ENGAGED IN NEARLY 30 PROJECTS OVER THE COURSE OF 2021, INCLUDING WORK SPANNING MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, PUBLIC HEALTH WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, SOCIAL DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH, AND COMMUNITY RESILIENCE, ALL WITH A HEALTH EQUITY LENS. EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS INCLUDE DEVELOPING STRATEGIES FOR BIOPHARMA AND HEALTH CARE COMPANIES ON HEALTH EQUITY AND SOCIAL IMPACT STRATEGY; DEVELOPING A LEARNING AND EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR A HEALTH PLAN FOUNDATION'S PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS; CONDUCTING A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTIVE IMPACT PROJECT FOR A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION; AND DEVELOPING A STRATEGY FOR A NEWLY FORMED HEALTH SYSTEM'S FOUNDATION.
FSG WORKED ON NEARLY 20 GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN 2021. THE MAJORITY OF THIS WORK WAS FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING THE ROLE OF MARKETS IN THE SANITATION SECTOR, ALONGSIDE GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT. FSG SUPPORTED WORK TO REVIEW AND SHARE RESEARCH ON BEST PRACTICES FOR MARKET BASED SANITATION PRACTICES. OTHER PROJECTS INCLUDED DEVELOPING A CSR STRATEGY FOR A BIOPHARMA COMPANY INTERESTED IN GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS COALITION WORK IN OPPOSITION TO CHILD LABOR.
FSG COMPLETED NUMEROUS FIELD-BUILDING AND KNOWLEDGE PROJECTS, FULFILLING OUR MISSION OF ACCELERATING THE PACE OF SOCIAL PROGRESS THROUGH PHILANTHROPIC LEADERSHIP.
