EXPENSES INCURRED IN CARRYING OUT THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE WHICH IS TO (1) SUPPORT AND PROMOTE THE DONATION OF ORGANS AND TISSUES FOR TRANSPLANTATION, THERAPY, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION, (2) FOSTER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH WITH RESPECT TO HUMAN ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION AND (3) FOSTER PUBLIC SERVICE PROGRAMS AND THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE AND BENEFITS OF ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ALSO FORMED TO BE AN INTEGRAL PART OF AND SUPPORT THE TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSES, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OF NJ ORGAN AND TISSUE SHARING NETWORK, INC.; AN ORGANIZATION RECOGNIZED BY THE IRS AS TAX-EXEMPT UNDER INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501 (C)(3). IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, THE ORGANIZATION WILL RAISE FUNDS FOR GRANTS TO NJ ORGAN AND TISSUE SHARING NETWORK OR TO OPERATE PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES OF NJ ORGAN AND TISSUE SHARING NETWORK, BASED ON REQUESTS OF NJ ORGAN AND TISSUE SHARING NETWORK. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION WILL SEEK OUT AND MAKE GRANTS TO INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501 (C)(3) AND GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT AND PROMOTE ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. THESE GRANTS ARE INTENDED TO REWARD THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE CREATING OR OPERATING PROGRAMS THAT BEST PROMOTE AND SUPPORT SUCCESSFUL ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION EFFORTS AND TO INDIRECTLY PROVIDE THOSE ORGANIZATIONS WITH PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF THEIR EFFORTS AND SUCCESS. FINALLY, THE ORGANIZATION WILL ALSO CONSIDER GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS WHO SUPPORT ORGAN AND TISSUE DONATION.
