FERNANDINA BEACH BABE RUTH LEAGUE, INC. PROVIDES A BASEBALL LEAGUE FOR CHILDREN IN THE FERNANDINA BEACH, FLORIDA COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE LEAGUE OPERATES AS A CHARTER MEMBER OF BABE RUTH BASEBALL AND INCLUDES DIVISIONS IN BOTH CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE AND BABE RUTH LEAGUE. THE LEAGUE HOSTS BOTH SPRING AND FALL SEASONS ANNUALLY AND COMPETES IN CAL RIPKEN AND BABE RUTH LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS AT THE END OF THE SPRING SEASON AS WELL AS OTHER TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE LEAGUE IS CURRENTLY OPEN TO CHILDREN AGES 5 THROUGH 16. THE BASEBALL LEAGUE OPERATIONS ARE FUNDED PRIMARILY THROUGH REGISTRATION (MEMBER) FEES, SPONSORSHIPS, CONCESSION INCOME AND CONTRIBUTIONS. THE LEAGUE'S PRIMARY EXPENDITURES INCLUDE PLAYER UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT, FIELD/FACILITY MAINTENANCE, UMPIRES AND CONCESSION STAND ITEMS.
