IN 2021, THE CHILE PEPPER FESTIVAL GENERATED ENOUGH REVENUES TO DONATE 69,875 TO 22 HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS IN OUR 4 COUNTY AREA OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS. THE AMOUNT GIVEN TO EACH SCHOOL VARIED BASED ON SCHOOL SIZE AND NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED BY EACH SCHOOL TO SUPPORT EVENT EXECUTION. ALSO CONSIDERED WERE PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT, NUMBER OF ATHLETES PARTICIPATING IN CROSS COUNTRY AND THE INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF THE SCHOOL AND THE ATHLETES. ALL ATHLETES PARTICIPATING IN CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS AT THESE 24 SCHOOLS BENEFITED FROM THESE DONATIONS.
