THE CALIFORNIA ODYSSEY SOCCER CLUB IS COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH SOCCER DEVELOPMENT AS PART OF A LARGER PLEDGE TO THE PROGRESSION OF SOCCER IN THE USA. THE GUIDING PRINCIPLE BEHIND CALIFORNIA ODYSSEYS PARTICIPATION IN YOUTH SOCCER IS OUR BELIEF IN ITS VALUE TO PROMOTE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT ALL WHILE PROMOTING POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS THAT LEAD TO PERSONAL GROWTH AND SUCCESS IN A CHILDS LIFE. THESE INCLUDE THE DUTY TO TAKE AN INDIVIDUALS TALENTS TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE; EMBRACING DISCIPLINE NEEDED TO REACH HIGH STANDARDS; LEARNING TO WORK WITH OTHERS AS A TEAM IN PURSUIT OF A COMMON GOAL; AND ADHERENCE TO CODES OF INTEGRITY, DEICATION, AND RESPECT. OUR MISSION A:SO ENCOURAGES OUR MEMBERS TO BE STUDENT ATHLETESS, INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE MINDFUL OF THE IMPORTANCE OF ACADEMIC DISTICTION.ODYSSEY IS ALSO COMMITTED TO THE PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL BEING OF OUR MEMBERS AND TO THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE WHOLE PERSON. WE RECOGNIZE THE GREAT DEMANDS PALCED ON TODAYS STUDENT ATHLETE AND WE AIM TO PROVIDE A SUPPORT SYSTEM TO ASSIST THEM MANAGE THESE DEMANDS AND GET THE MOST OUT OF THEIR ODYSSEY EXPERIENCE. ODYSSEY ATHLETES ARE EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO A LEVEL OF BEHAVIOR THAT BRINGS CREDIT TO THEMSELVES AND THE CLUB AND UPHOLD THE VALUES OF OUR MISSION.
