ONE VISION INTERNATIONAL ("OVI") IS A NON-PROFIT THAT OPERATES IN ORDER TO MEET IMMEDIATE PHYSICAL NEEDS IN ORDER TO WIN A HEARING TO SHARE THE GOSPEL. IN 2022, WE CONTINUED TO MEET THOSE PHYSICAL NEEDS THROUGH THE HELP OF OUR LOCAL PARTNERS ON THE GROUND. IN BRAZIL AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, THE CHILDREN'S AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL HELP, NUTRITIONAL SNACKS AND MEALS, AND BIBLE TEACHING THROUGH THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMS TO OVER 150 KIDS. OUR NATIONAL STAFF ALSO CONNECTED WITH FAMILY MEMBERS TO ENSURE THAT FAMILIES WERE RECEIVING THE GOSPEL AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR BIBLE STUDIES.IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, WE COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION ON A HOUSE FOR A COMMUNITY MEMBER WHO HAD LOST THEIR HOME TO FLOODING DAMAGE. CLAUDIA ALSO CONTINUED DISCIPLING MANY WOMEN WHO WERE INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THE BIBLE. THE SEWING GROUPS CONTINUED TO MEET AND GROW AS THEY LEARNED A JOB SKILL AND DID BIBLE STUDIES WHILE THEY MET. THERE WERE SEVERAL TEAMS THAT WENT TO THE DR TO HELP WITH THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM AND THE SEWING PROGRAM.IN BRAZIL, WE HOSTED ANOTHER PASTOR'S AND MISSIONARIES CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY TO EDUCATE AND ENCOURAGE OVER 100 PASTORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. IN THE COUNTRY, WE SUPPORTED FOUR BRAZILIAN MISSIONARY FAMILIES BY BUILDING SUPPORT TEAMS TO HELP THEM FINANCIALLY AND PRAY FOR THEM. DENISE CONTINUED SERVING IN THE COMMUNITY OF RANCHARIA TO DISCIPLE KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES. WE ALSO HELPED PROVIDE FINANCIALLY FOR FAMILIES THAT WERE IN NEED.IN THE MIDDLE EAST WE COMPLETED BUILDING A SCHOOL FOR OVER 400 CHILDREN IN A REMOTE AREA OF KURDISTAN. THE OPENING WAS EVEN ATTENDED BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS OF THE COUNTRY. WE ALSO TOOK MORE ORPHANS TO A LOCAL MALL TO GET THEM NEW CLOTHES AND A FUN OUTING FOR THE DAY. WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE ABOUT 100 KIDS AT A TIME. THIS IS WORK WE WILL CONTINUE DOING AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE. LASTLY, WE CONTINUED TO TAKE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS TO KURDISTAN TO HELP LOCALS AND TRAIN LOCAL DOCTORS. IN 2022, OUR TEAM WAS ABLE TO WORK IN REFUGEE CAMPS AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH A HOSPITAL THERE. WE WILL ALSO CONTINUE THIS WORK SINCE THE MEDICAL NEED CONTINUES TO BE GREAT.
