SAN LUCAS TOLIMÁN SCHOLARS' PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO RAISE MONEY TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO POOR STUDENTS AND THEIR SCHOOLS IN THE SAN LUCAS TOLIMÁN, GUATEMALA AND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES. THIS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ALLOWS THESE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION AFTER PRIMARY SCHOOL.

SAN LUCAS TOLIMÁN SCHOLARS GAVE FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO 1,024 NEEDY STUDENTS LIVING IN SAN LUCAS TOLIMÁN, GUATEMALA AND NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES AFTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.
THE IMPACT FROM THE COVID PANDEMIC HAS BEEN SEVERE ON OUR RECIPIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. SCHOOLS IMPLEMENTED REMOTE LEARNING IN 2020 AND MOVED TO HYBRID LEARNING IN 2021. THIS MEANT FAMILIES INCURRED ADDITIONAL EXPENSES FOR HYBRID LEARNING. ADDITIONAL DONATIONS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO REDUCE THE BURDEN ON THE FAMILIES.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS SEND LETTERS TO THEIR SPONSORS. THESE LETTERS ARE TRANSLATED FROM SPANISH TO ENGLISH BY PAID TRANSLATORS.
