SAYRE HEALTH CENTER PROMOTES SOCIAL WELFARE AND DELIVERY OF HEALTH SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS OF THE WEST PHILADELPHIA AREA OF PENNSYLVANIA. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES ACCESSIBLE AND CULTURALLY SENSITIVE HIGH-QUALITY COMMUNITY BASED PRIMARY AND PREVENTIVE HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO THE UNDERSERVED WEST PHILADELPHIA COMMUNITY AND OFFERS HEALTH SERVICES EDUCATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, AND PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. SAYRE HEALTH CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING ACCESS TO QUALITY AND AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.DURING FISCAL YEAR 2021, SAYRE RECEIVED $3,929,507 IN TOTAL GRANTS FROM VARYING AGENCIES INCLUDING THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY, THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATION COMMISSION, AND THE U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AWARDED FUNDING TO COMBAT THE PANDEMIC AS PART OF THE COVID-19 CARES ACT FUNDING.
