THE THEATER SUPPORTED THE PRESENTATION OF LIVE THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS, DANCE PERFORMANCES, AND MUSIC EVENTS FOR AUDIENCES OF 300-500 ATTENDEES. THE THEATER SERVES AS A STABLE, AFFORDABLE HOME FOR PITTSBURGH'S DIVERSE SMALL ARTS GROUPS, PROVIDING MODERN EQUIPMENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE TECHNICAL STAFF, FUNCTIONAL DRESSING ROOMS, AND FLEXIBLE SPACES.
THE THEATER WORKS WITH EMERGING AND MID-CAREER PERFORMING ARTISTS AND THEATRICAL DESIGNERS TO PRODUCE A NEW WORK OR WORK CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT FOR PERFORMANCE AT THE THEATER. THE THEATER PROVIDES A STIPEND TO EACH ARTIST AS WELL AS SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT INCLUDING USE OF THE THEATER, REHEARSAL SPACE, TECHNICAL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, DOCUMENTATION, AND MARKETING. THEATER STAFF MENTOR EACH ARTIST THROUGH THE PROJECT THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, PROVIDING THE ARTISTS WITH EXPERIENCE IN ALL FACETS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND THE SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SHEPHERDING FUTURE PROJECTS ON THEIR OWN.
