CIUDAD NUEVA COMMUNITY OUTREACH SEEKS TO EMBODY THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST BY ADVANCING THE RENEWAL AND DEVELOPMENT OF EL PASO'S CENTRAL RIO GRANDE NEIGHBORHOOD THROUGH THE EMPOWERMENT AND TRANSFORMATION OF ITS RESIDENTS.

SUPPORTING FAMILIES:CIUDAD NUEVA FOOD CO-OPS DISTRIBUTED OVER 2,690 BOXES OF FOOD TO FAMILIES. COMMUNITY CONNECTOR STAFF MADE 2500+ HOME VISITS. PROVIDED BASIC CASE WORK, CONNECTION TO RESOURCES, JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE AND/OR REFERRALS. 25+ PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS WORKSHOPS. FAMILIES WERE PROVIDED WITH EMERGENCY RENT, UTILITY ASSISTANCE, PROVISION OF FOOD, HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE & APPLIANCES .


EMPOWERING YOUTH: SERVED 160+ YOUTH FROM 3RD GRADE THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL PROVIDING AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM FOR 20+ HRS./WK. OF ACTIVITIES. 60+ STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN SUMMER CAMPS.


EQUIPPING LEADERS: 4 YOUTH PROGRAM ALUMNI RETURNED TO SERVE AS STAFF OR INTERNS IN OUR AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS. INVESTED IN NEIGHBORHOOD LEADERSHIP; 3 COMMUNITY MEMBERS HELPED LEAD THIS IN AREAS OF BRIDGE BUILDING, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND RECONCILIATION AT WORKSHOPS, CHURCHES, AND GATHERINGS IN LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS. EQUIPPED 14 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH OUR CATALYST LEADERSHIP PROGRAM.


STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY:WORKED WITH LOCAL LEADERS TO STRENGTHEN NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS, ADVOCATE FOR COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS AND TO ADDRESS NEEDS THAT AROSE BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. THE DOWNTOWN CHURCH CONNECTION MET MONTHLY & COORDINATED OUTREACH WITH LOCAL CHURCHES. 160+ INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED. HOSTED ART WORKSHOPS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS AND COMMUNITY AGENCIES.
