ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. THE CORPORATION IS A PUBLIC BENEFIT CORPORATION WHICH IDENTIFIES AND SUPPORTS FUTURE EDUCATORS THROUGH A VARIETY OF ACADEMIC, ENRICHMENT, AND SCHOOL PLACEMENT EXPERIENCES TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONALISM AND LEADERSHIP.

THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO OFFER STUDENT TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES TO COLLEGE STUDENTS MAJORING IN EDUCATION AND TO DEVELOP AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION CONTRACTS WITH ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR HIGH, AND HIGH SCHOOLS AND OTHERS TO PROVIDE TEACHING FELLOWS FOR AFTER-SCHOOL EDUCATION AND TUTORING. APPROXIMATELY 2,000 TEACHING FELLOWS HELPED OVER 30,000 STUDENTS EACH MONTH AT SCHOOL SITES DURING THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR. THE FOUNDATION GENERATES REVENUE FROM SERVICE FEES FOR OPERATING PROGRAMS AT SCHOOL SITES AND CONTRACTS WITH OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR PROGRAM CONTENT AND PROGRAM EVALUATION. THE FOUNDATION IS SUPPORTED PRIMARILY BY FEES FOR SERVICES AND GRANTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS.
