THE PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO PROMOTE RESPONSIBILITY, LEADERSHIP, AND SHOWMANSHIP IN AREA YOUTHS AGES EIGHT TO EIGHTEEN. THIS PURPOSE IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING AREA YOUTH WITH AN ANNUAL OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW AND SELL LIVESTOCK AND HOMEMAKING GOODS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. YOUTH INVOLVED IN THE ANNUAL SHOW AND SALE LEARN TO FEED, CARE FOR AND NURTURE LIVESTOCK OF MANY SPECIES. HOMEMAKING PROJECTS INCLUDE SUCH TALENTS AS BAKING, CRAFTS, NEEDLEWORK, SEWING, WELDING AND WOOD WORKING.
