THE AL SIGL FOUNDATION RAISES, MANAGES AND DISTRIBUTES FUNDS TO FOSTER THE GOALS OF THE AL SIGL COMMUNITY OF AGENCIES, ITS COLLABORATIVE MEMBER AGENCIES, AND THE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS WHO ARE SERVED BY THOSE AGENCIES.

THE SPORTS COMMITTEE CELEBRATED A VERY SUCCESSFUL 2023 AT THEIR HOLIDAY LUNCHEON WHERE THEY DISTRIBUTED A TOTAL OF $96,000 IN UNRESTRICTED FUNDS TO AL SIGL MEMBER AGENCIES AS A RESULT OF FUNDRAISING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE GOLF TOURNAMENT HOSTED 140 GOLFERS WHO PROVED THEIR DEDICATION TO THE CAUSE BY PLAYING THROUGH AFTERNOON RAIN. THE EVENT RAISED A NET $71,638. THE TENNIS BENEFIT WAS AGAIN A SELL OUT WITH 72 PLAYERS JOINING US ON SATURDAY FOR THE TEAM TOURNAMENT. ATTENDANCE INCREASED AS WE INTRODUCED A SOCIAL ROUND ROBIN ON FRIDAY EVENING TO EMBRACE RECREATIONAL PLAYERS. THE TWO-DAY EVENT RAISED $22,381. GUESTS ENJOYED SIPPING AND SAMPLING FROM A VARIETY OF LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS AT THIS YEAR'S FINE TASTINGS EVENT RAISING $32,135. A LIFT FOR ABILITIES SKI BENEFIT HAS BEEN ADDED AS AN ANNUAL EVENT THIS YEAR RAISING $7,500.
HUNDREDS OF WALKERS AND ROLLERS JOINED US AT EASTVIEW MALL FOR THE 34TH ANNUAL AL SIGL COMMUNITY WALKABOUT. FRIENDS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES JOINED US FOR ACCESSIBLE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY, HALLOWEEN-THEMED FUN FOR ALL. THE GRAND FINALE WAS A COSTUME CONTEST GIVING EACH PARTICIPANT THEIR MOMENT TO SHINE ON THE STAGE. THIS YEAR OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT GREW SIGNIFICANTLY AS WE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISTRIBUTE NEW COSTUMES TO OUR WALKABOUT GUESTS, THANKS TO A GENEROUS DONATION. AL SIGL MEMBER AGENCIES, PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS, FAMILIES, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND VOLUNTEERS CAME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT THIS MEMORABLE MORNING CELEBRATING INCLUSION AND ABILITIES.
THE AL SIGL FOUNDATION IS CHARGED WITH RAISING FUNDS TO ADVANCE THE MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE AL SIGL COMMUNITY OF AGENCIES AND ITS COLLABORATIVE MEMBER AGENCIES. THIS SUPPORT HELPS PEOPLE OF ALL ABILITIES BECOME MORE INDEPENDENT, ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS AND BE MORE FULLY INCLUDED IN COMMUNITY LIFE.
