Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
IN 2022, 15 STUDENTS COMPETED IN THE TRADITIONAL FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION. STUDENTS WORKED ON-SITE AS A GROUP WITH MENTORS TO DISSECT GAME RULES AND DEVELOP A STRATEGY FOR GAME PLAY WHICH INFORMED THEIR ROBOT DESIGN DIRECTIONS. STUDENTS UTILIZED CAD TO DESIGN ROBOT SYSTEMS AND USED THE CAD MODELS TO FABRICATE PARTS AND ASSEMBLE THEIR COMPETITION ROBOT. OTHER STUDENTS CREATED SOFTWARE TO COLLECT AND REPORT OUT COMPETITION DATA TO BE USED "REAL-TIME" BY ROBOT DRIVE TEAM TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND OUTCOMES AT COMPETITION. STUDENTS DEVELOPED GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACES TO FACILITATE DATA ENTRY AND DESIGNED REPORTS FOR ANALYZED DATA WHICH DISPLAYED INFORMATION IN A QUICKLY, EASILY UNDERSTOOD FORMAT. DEDICATED STUDENTS ALSO CREATED A COMPUTER GENERATED ANIMATION FOR ENTRY INTO THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION COMPETITION. THE 2022 YEAR WAS FOCUSED ON REBUILDING THE TEAM AND RECOVERING FROM THE IMPACTS FROM COVID. EXPENSES WERE HIGHER THAN USUAL DUE TO THE NEED TO PURCHASE MORE OFF THE SHELF COMPONENTS. SHOP TIME WAS MORE FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING STUDENT SKILLS THAT LAGGED BECAUSE NO SHOP TRAINING COULDN'T OCCUR DURING COVID. ALL GRADUATING SENIORS PURSUED TECHNICAL AND STEM STUDY IN COLLEGE.
