THE ALBANY JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER PROVIDES A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT WHERE INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES CAN GROW AND DEVELOP IN MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT. WE SERVE THE SPECTRUM OF FAMILY LIFE, FROM INFANTS THROUGH SENIORS, THROUGH PROGRAMS RELATED TO EDUCATION, PHYSICAL FITNESS, AND COMMUNAL LIFE. OUR CORE VALUES ARE ROOTED IN JEWISH PRINCIPLE, AND WE WELCOME MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE, REGARDLESS OF THEIR FAITH OR BACKGROUND.

EARLY CHILDHOOD - THE CENTER RUNS A CHILDHOOD CENTER WHICH IS THE LARGEST CHILDCARE CENTER IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT AREA OF NEW YORK STATE. THE CHILDHOOD CENTER IS LICENSED TO CARE FOR 283 CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 2 MONTHS TO 12 YEARS BY THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES.
HEALTH AND FITNESS - THE CENTER HAS FITNESS FACILITIES OFFERING STATE-OF-THE-ART CARDIO MACHINES, FREE WEIGHTS, CIRCUIT EQUIPMENT, FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT, STRENGTH TRAINING EQUIPMENT, INDOOR CYCLING AND LARGE GROUP EXERCISE STUDIO PROGRAMS. THE CENTER ALSO OFFERS FITNESS CLASSES, RECREATION PROGRAMS AND A VARIETY OF PERSONAL TRAINING FOR ADULTS AND YOUNG ADULTS.
AQUATICS - THE CENTERS AQUATICS FACILITIES OFFERS VARIOUS PROGRAMS TO MEMBERS INCLUDING PRENATAL CLASSES, WATER EXPLORATION FOR INFANTS, INSTRUCTION IN PRIMARY SKILLS, BASIC WATER FITNESS, AND INTERMEDIATE SWIMMING. THE CENTER ALSO OFFERS PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS. POOL RENTALS FACILITATE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND REPRESENT ADDITIONAL SOURCES OF FUNDING FOR CENTER OPERATIONS.
