THE WILLIAM J. GIES AWARDS ARE FOR VISION, INNOVATION, AND ACHIEVEMENT. NAMED AFTER WILLIAM J. GIES, A PIONEER IN DENTAL EDUCATION. "THE GIES AWARDS" ARE THE PREEMINENT RECOGNITION OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO AND SUPPORT OF GLOBAL ORAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION INITIATIVES. THE GIES AWARDS ARE PRESENTED ANNUALLY AT A HIGHLY ANTICIPATED CELEBRATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ADEA ANNUAL SESSION AND EXHIBITION.
LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE PHASE V - SCHOLARSHIP CREATED TO ENABLE A JUNIOR FACULTY MEMBER (UP TO THREE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE) TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ADEA SUMMER PROGRAM FOR EMERGING ACADEMIC LEADERS. THE FACULTY MEMBER MUST BE NOMINATED BY AN ADEA LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE ALUMNUS OR ALUMNA.
