CLUBHOUSE ACTIVITIES- SINCE 1872, THE BOYS' CLUB OF NEW YORK (BCNY) HAS SUPPORTED THE EMPOWERMENT OF NEARLY A MILLION YOUNG MEN. BCNY FULFILLS ITS MISSION BY OFFERING ENGAGING AND DIVERSE YOUTH PROGRAMS AFTER-SCHOOL AND ON SATURDAYS. OUR LOCATIONS IN EAST HARLEM AND FLUSHING ARE FULLY EQUIPPED WITH LEARNING CENTERS, AUDIO-VISUAL STUDIOS, READING ROOMS, GAME ROOMS, OUTDOOR SPACES, WELLNESS ROOMS, MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT AND ATHLETIC FACILITIES. IN FY22, BCNY BROUGHT JOY, CONNECTION AND CARE TO COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY THE ONGOING EFFECTS OF THE PANDEMIC. MOST IMPORTANTLY, MEMBERS CULTIVATED A SENSE OF BELONGING, OWNERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF OUR WALLS.
CAMP- OVER THE SUMMER, THE CLUBHOUSES OFFERED SPECIAL DAYTIME PROGRAMS IN EAST HARLEM AND FLUSHING. MEMBERS ALSO TRAVELED THROUGHOUT NEW YORK CITY, DISCOVERING OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPLORE NATURE, RECREATION, ART AND CULTURE. BCNY'S HARRIMAN BASE CAMP HOSTED ITS FIRST SLEEP-AWAY CAMP POST-PANDEMIC. MEMBERS WERE ABLE TO CULTIVATE INDEPENDENCE AND CONNECTIONS TO NATURE AND THEIR PEERS IN BEAUTIFUL HARRIMAN STATE PARK.
EDUCATIONAL SERVICES- BCNY ENGAGES WITH MEMBERS TO BUILD ACADEMIC CONFIDENCE AND A LOVE OF LEARNING. OUR SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS LIKE HIGH SCHOOL ACCESS, FAMILY ACADEMY, READ, HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, PROJECT TEACH AND CAREER AND COLLEGE PREP SUPPORT MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AS THEY PLAN FOR THEIR FUTURES.
