THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO BE AN EFFECTIVE RESOURCE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND THE HEALTH CARE COMMUNITY IN THE COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO PREVENT AND ELIMINATE EATING DISORDERS.

EATING DISORDER EDUCATION: SCHOOL BASED PRESENTATIONS ARE GIVEN TO ELEMENTARY THROUGH COLLEGE AGED STUDENTS. PRESENTATIONS ARE DELIVERED TO PARENT ORGANIZATIONS, SCHOOL STAFF INCLUDING SOCIAL WORKERS, NURSES, COUNSELORS, AND TEACHERS, HEALTH FAIRS AND TO OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. IN ADDITION, MONTHLY VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS ARE PROVIDED TO THE COMMUNITY ON A WIDE RANGE OF EATING DISORDER TOPICS.
EATING DISORDER ADVOCACY: THE EATING DISORDER FOUNDATION AIMS TO ADVOCATE FOR EATING DISORDER RESEARCH, COVERAGE AND TREATMENT OPTIONS, IN ADDITION TO INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY EFFORTS AS A MEANS TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY. EVENTS ARE HELD DURING NATIONAL EATING DISORDER AWARENESS WEEK TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND EDUCATION.
EATING DISORDER SUPPORT: FREE WEEKLY SUPPORT GROUPS ARE HELD BOTH VIRTUALLY AND IN PERSON TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS IN COLORADO, AROUND THE COUNTRY AND ABROAD. THE EATING DISORDER FOUNDATION OFFERS UNIQUE GROUPS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, MEN, THE LGBTQ+ AND TRANS AND NONBINARY COMMUNITIES, BIPOC+, ADOLESCENTS AND MORE.
