THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A CHARTER SCHOOL IN THE CITY OF NEW YORK. THE SCHOOL IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC (ADMISSION BY LOTTERY). AMBER'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH AN ACADEMICALLY RIGOROUS AND WELL-ROUNDED EDUCATION, ALONG WITH STRONG CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO PROSPER IN FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WAS STARTED IN SEPTEMBER 2014. IN ADDITION TO SUPPLEMENTING WHAT THE STUDENTS HAVE LEARNED IN SCHOOL, THEY PARTICIPATE IN INTERACTIVE LEARNING MODELS THAT ENGAGE CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS AND GET ASSISTANCE WITH THEIR HOMEWORK FROM TRAINED STAFF MEMBERS. DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF COVID, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WAS SUSPENDED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 2021.
