MUSICIANS ON CALL BRINGS LIVE AND RECORDED MUSIC TO THE BEDSIDES OF PATIENTS IN HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENTS. MUSICIANS ON CALL USES MUSIC TO PROMOTE AND COMPLEMENT THE HEALING PROCESS FOR PATIENTS, FAMILIES, AND CAREGIVERS.

MUSICIANS ON CALL (MOC) HAS DELIVERED LIVE AND RECORDED MUSIC TO THE BEDSIDES OF PATIENTS, FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS IN HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENTS SINCE 1999. AS THE NATION'S LEADING PROVIDER OF LIVE MUSIC IN HOSPITALS, MOC VOLUNTEERS HAVE PERFORMED FOR ONE MILLION PEOPLE NATIONWIDE. MUSICIANS ON CALL'S VIRTUAL BEDSIDE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM UTILIZES VIDEO CONFERENCING TECHNOLOGY TO BROADCAST LIVE PERFORMANCES TO THOSE IN NEED OF REMOTE, LIVE MUSIC THROUGH ONE-ON-ONE INTIMATE PERFORMANCES AND HOSPITAL- WIDE CONCERTS. BECAUSE OF THIS UNIQUE SETUP, VOLUNTEERS AND THOSE DIALING IN CAN BE LOCATED ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, AND MULTIPLE HOSPITALS CAN JOIN, ENABLING THE MUSIC TO REACH HUNDREDS OF PATIENTS AT ONCE. FROM MARCH 2020, MORE THAN 230,000 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN THE VIRTUAL PROGRAM. MOC ALSO DEVELOPED VIRTUAL PROGRAMS TO MAKE MUSIC MORE ACCESSIBLE TO PATIENTS OF MANY DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS, INCLUDING LAUNCHING EL PROGRAMA VIRTUAL EN ESPAOL (SPANISH LANGUAGE VIRTUAL PROGRAM), ADDING SUBTITLES TO ALL VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING AND FEATURING A PERFORMANCE SIGNER DURING A PROGRAM ESPECIALLY FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY. MOC ALSO GAVE PATIENTS THE TOOLS TO ACCESS THE HEALING POWER OF MUSIC AT THEIR BEDSIDE THROUGH ITS MUSIC PHARMACY PROGRAM, WHICH IS AVAILABLE IN HOSPITALS IN ALL 50 STATES. FACILITIES RECEIVED TABLETS PRE-PROGRAMMED WITH AMAZON MUSIC STREAMING SERVICES AND TOP-OF-THE-LINE BOSE NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONES. THE TABLETS HAVE CUSTOM CURATED PLAYLISTS FEATURING MUSIC THAT PROMOTES POSITIVITY AND HEALING IN THE HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENT. MUSICIANS ON CALL REVISITED ITS PROJECT PLAYBACK PROGRAM PAIRING ACCLAIMED RECORDING ARTISTS WITH PATIENTS FOR SPECIAL VIRTUAL SONGWRITING SESSIONS. THE AMERICAN SONGSTER DOM FLEMONS MET WITH VETERANS TO WRITE THE ORIGINAL SONG "THIS HERO'S LIFE OF MINE." THE SONG CAME FROM THE VETERANS' STORIES OF SEEING THE WORLD, STANDING UP FOR WHAT'S RIGHT AND COMING HOME A CHANGED PERSON. COUNTRY MUSIC RECORDING ARTIST BROOKE EDEN SWAPPED STORIES ABOUT SELF-LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE WITH TWO ASPIRING SONGWRITERS. TOGETHER THEY COLLABORATED ON NEW LYRICS FOR HER SONG "GOT NO CHOICE" THAT SPOKE TO EMBRACING THEIR IDENTITIES, FINDING COMMUNITY AND LIVING LIFE WITH NO BOUNDARIES.
