THE NETWORK'S MISSION IS TO INCREASE THE PUBLIC'S UNDERSTANDING OF SUPPORTIVE HOUSING; SHARE BEST PRACTICES TO IMPROVE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING'S EFFECTIVENESS AND ENCOURAGE THE CREATION OF ENOUGH SUPPORTIVE HOUSING TO END HOMELESSNESS AMONG THE MOST VULNERABLE NEW YORKERS.

2021 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDED CONTINUING TO PROTECT OUR MEMBER AGENCIES, THEIR STAFF AND THEIR TENANTS THROUGH THE COVID PANDEMIC, ESPECIALLY OUR NYC MEMBERS. WE CONTINUED TO DISSEMINATE VITAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PANDEMIC, CONTINUED TO PROCURE AND DISTRIBUTE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT TO OUR NYC MEMBERS, AND, CRUCIALLY, AS SOON AS VACCINES BECAME AVAILABLE, WE SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED THAT OUR TENANTS AND STAFF WERE PRIORITIZED FOR VACCINES AND HELPED IMPROVE VACCINE ACCESS. OUR ADVOCACY ALSO LED TO SIGNIFICANT INCREASES IN STATE-FUNDED CONTRACTS AS WELL AS COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENTS FOR THOSE CONTRACTS, PROVIDING MEANINGFUL FISCAL RELIEF TO OUR MEMBERS ACROSS THE STATE. WE CONTINUED TO CONVENE MEMBERS TO SHARE EMERGING ISSUES AND SHARE BEST PRACTICES ON A REGULAR BASIS AND ONCE AGAIN HELD VIRTUAL FRIDAY FORUMS, IN LIEU OF OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE, AS WELL AS A VIRTUAL GALA IN PLACE OF OUR IN-PERSON GALA. BOTH EVENTS DREW HUNDREDS OF PARTICIPANTS.
