COMMUNITY ASSISTED TENANT CONTROLLED HOUSING INC. ("CATCH") ACQUIRES AND RENOVATES DISTRESSED BUILDINGS IN NEW YORK CITY, CREATING HOUSING THAT IS PERMANENTLY AFFORDABLE TO VERY LOW- AND LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS. CATCH CREATES MUTUAL HOUSING ASSOCIATION TO OWN AND MANAGE THESE BUILDINGS; THESE MUTUAL HOUSING ASSOCIATIONS ARE DEMOCRATICALLY CONTROLLED BY RESIDENTS. CATCH HAS ACQUIRED AND RENOVATED MORE THAN 50 BUILDINGS CONTAINING MORE THAN 1,000 APARTMENTS. IN 2021, CATCH COMLETED CONVERSION OF A 60 UNIT BUILDING IN BROOKLYN TO COOPERATION OWNERSHIP, COMPLETED 80% OF THE RENOVATION OF A MANHATTAN BUILDING THAT WILL BE CONVERTED TO COOPERATIVE OWNERSHIP AND COMPLETED 45% OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTI-BUILDING PROJECT IN EAST HARLEM WITH IT PARTNER BKCIA.
