LOCAL LABOR UNION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS FOR WORK ON FILM MAKING SERVICES IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. UNION OFFICIALS STRIVE TO BRING PRODUCTIONS FOR FILM TO THE STATE. CONTRACTS ARE NEGOTIATED AND MEDIATED FOR THE MEMBERSHIP.
LOBBYING THE TEXAS LEGISLATIVE BODY TO MAKE LAWS FOR FILM INITIATIVES IN TEXAS. THESE INITIATIVES WOULD OFFER REBATES OF TAXES TO FILM PRODUCTION COMPANIES THAT COME TO TEXAS TO FILM AND WOULD CREATE AN INCENTIVE FOR THESE PRODUCERS TO BRING WORK TO TEXAS AND INCREASE THE OVERALL STATE ECONOMY.
