Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE AGENCY OPERATES 12 SUPERVISED GROUP HOMES, 3 SUPERVISED APARTMENTS, AND 17 SUPPORTED APARTMENTS ON STATEN ISLAND IN INTEGRATED COMMUNITIES. THE SUPERVISED SETTINGS OPERATE 24 HOURS PER DAY AND 7 DAYS PER WEEK. THE SUPPORTED APARTMENTS ARE SUPERVISED ONCE PER DAY 5 DAYS PER WEEK. THE DAILY ACTIVITIES OF INDIVIDUALS IN THESE HOMES FOLLOWS A SIMILAR ROUTINE AS INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT DISABILITIES.THE AGENCY ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO WORK IN COMPETITIVE COMMUNITY JOBS WHEN THEY ARE AT QUALIFIED AGE OR GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL.THE AGENCY PROVIDES DAY HABILITATION AND JOB TRAINING AT FOUR SITES SERVING 180 INDIVIDUALS.IN ADDITION THE AGENCY PROVIDES RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS TO MENTALLY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS. THE PROGRAMS EMPHASIZE FITNESS, AQUATICS, TEAM SPORTS, FUNDAMENTAL MOTOR SKILLS THAT ARE APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE OF THE INDIVIDUALS. DISABLED INDIVIDUALS.
