FONDO VAMOS JUNTOS - TO PROVIDE 50 UNDERGRADUATE AND 50 GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS TO DESERVING STUDENTS OUTLINED BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS: RECIPIENTS MUST DEMONSTRATE SOCIOECONOMIC NEED FROM STRATUS 1, 2, 3, AND 4. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS FROM STRATUS 1, 2, AND 3. IN ADDITION, FOR MASTER-LEVEL SCHOLARSHIPS, PREFERENCE IS TO BE GIVEN TO FEMALE STUDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ECONOMY, MATHEMATICS, AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION.
TRAVESIAS GRANT - THE GRANT IS MADE TO SUPPORT THE TRAVESIAS PROGRAM WHICH IS AIMED AT IMPROVING THE EDUCATIONAL AND PRODUCTIVE QUALITY OF COMMUNITIES IN THE DIFFERENT REGIONS OF THE COUNTRY THROUGH AGREEMENTS BETWEEN REGIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF THE COUNTRY AND THE UNIVERSIDAD DE LOS ANDES. THIS IS A TWO-WAY KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE PROGRAM, ON ONE HAND, IT AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO DO MASTER'S AND SPECIALIZATION STUDIES IN THE UNIVERSIDAD DE LOS ANDES TO PROFESSORS OF RURAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, AND ON THE OTHER HAND, IT CREATES AND STRENGTHENS ACADEMIC -AND PRODUCTION-ORIENTED RESEARCH PROJECTS THROUGH THE EXCHANGE OF RESEARCH PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSIDAD DE LOS ANDES WITH REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
VAMOS PA'LANTE 2021 - THE VAMOS PA'LANTE INITIATIVE WAS ESTABLISHED TO HELP AWARD ONE-SEMESTER SCHOLARSHIPS TO UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS WITH EXCELLENT ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE WHO ARE AT HIGH RISK OF DROPPING OUT OF THE UNIVERSITY DUE TO SEVERE FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS CAUSED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
