THE ORGANIZATION RETAINS THE SERVICES OF A LEGISLATIVE CONSULTANT TO REPRESENT THE INTEREST OF THE MENTALLY ILL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES BEFORE NEW YORK STATE LEGISLATURE. IT ALSO PROVIDES EDUCATION AND CONSULTATION TO LEGISLATORS ON MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.
THE ORGANIZATION RETAINS LEGAL COUNSEL TO ASSIST IN ONGOING LEGAL ACTION TO LESSEN ADMINISTRATIVE BURDEN FOR PSYCHIATRISTS PARTICIPATING IN VARIOUS THIRD PARTY PAYMENT PROGRAMS.
