DURING THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR, THEATRE FORWARD RAISED FUNDS ON BEHALF OF NONPROFIT THEATRES TO SUPPORT GENERAL OPERATIONS THROUGH ITS ANNUAL FUND. THEATRE FORWARD CONTINUED THE BANK OF AMERICA ACTIVATE AWARDS TO PROMOTE EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION (EDI) IN NONPROFIT THEATRES AND THEIR COMMUNITIES BY PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR GRANT RECIPIENTS TO EXPLORE, INITIATE OR DEEPEN COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE FROM UNDER-REPRESENTED GROUPS. IN ADDITION, THEATRE FORWARD PROVIDED FUNDING AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES THROUGH ITS EDUCATING THROUGH THEATRE PROGRAM WHICH USES THEATRE PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR TECHNIQUES TO PROMOTE CREATIVITY, AWARENESS, LEADERSHIP AND LIFE SKILLS IN CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
