BETANCES IS A FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER PROVIDING PRIMARY MEDICAL CARE, DENTAL, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, NUTRITION, WOMANS HEALTH, PODIATRY AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO MULTI-ETHNIC COMMUNITIES ON THE LOWER EAST SIDE OF MANHATTAN AND BUSHWICK IN BROOKLYN. THE CENTER ATTAINED DESIGNATION AS A LEVEL 111, PATIENT CENTERED MEDICAL HOME PCMH FROM THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR QUALITY CARE NCQA 2014 STANDARDS. ACHIEVING PCMH DESIGNATION WAS A MAJOR UNDERTAKING AND A LONG-TERM STRATEGIC GOAL OF THE ORGANIZATION WHICH WAS CRITICAL TO OUR FUTURE SUCCESS IN THE RAPIDLY TRANSFORMING HEALTH CARE ENVIRONMENT, AND IS ESSENTIAL FOR ACHIEVING THE TRIPLE AIM OF BETTER QUALITY OF CARE, DELIVERED AT LOWER COSTS WITH GREATER PATIENT SATISFACTION, IMPROVED EFFICIENCY AND LOWER PRACTICE COSTS.
