TO ENHANCE WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK'S POSITION AS A COMMUNITY IN WHICH TO LIVE, WORK AND CONDUCT BUSINESS. THE ASSOCIATION SERVES AS A NON-POLITICAL FORUM FOR ADDRESSING COUNTYWIDE ISSUES THAT AFFECT WESTCHESTER'S ECONOMY, AS WELL AS ITS QUALITY OF LIFE. THESE ISSUES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHCARE, HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND EDUCATION AND DIGITAL CONNECTIVITY.

THE WESTCHESTER COUNTY ASSOCIATION ("WCA") IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT HOSTS NUMEROUS EVENTS AND EDUCATIONAL FORUMS FOR MEMBERS TO ATTEND. THESE EVENTS FOCUS ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, REAL ESTATE, HEALTHCARE, TECHNOLOGY, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND ADVOCACY. WE OFFER MEMBERS ACCESS TO BUSINESS AND POLITICAL LEADERS.2ND ANNUAL REGIONAL WORKFORCE SUMMIT THE REGIONAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT IS PART OF THE WCA'S SUSTAINED COMMITMENT OVER SEVERAL YEARS TO ADVANCING POLICIES AND INITIATIVES THAT FOSTER A WELL-TRAINED WORKFORCE TO SUPPORT A RANGE OF JOB SECTORS. THROUGH THE ONGOING WORK OF ITS WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, EMPLOYERS, COLLEGES AND OTHER EDUCATION/TRAINING PROVIDERS, ALONG WITH FOUNDATIONS AND OTHER NON-PROFIT STAKEHOLDERS, ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO IDENTIFY SOLUTIONS THAT MEET THE REGION'S SHORT- AND LONG-TERM TALENT RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION NEEDS. IN 2021, THE WORKFORCE SUMMIT WAS HELD VIRTUALLY, WITH OVER 200 LOGGING IN AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT AND IT WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AS A RECORDED PROGRAM. LT. GOVERNOR KATHY HOCHUL GAVE THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS.5TH ANNUAL REAL ESTATE SUMMIT - EXPLORING DEVELOPMENTS OF THE FUTURETHIS EVENT WAS BORN OUT OF THE WORK FROM THE REAL ESTATE & HOUSING TASK FORCE. THE WCA ANNUALLY CONVENES A STAKEHOLDER SUMMIT THAT DRAWS MANY HUNDREDS OF PARTICIPANTS WHO DISCUSS THE MOST PRESSING ISSUES IN REAL ESTATE. THE SUMMIT WAS DEDICATED TO SUSTAINABILITY, TECHNOLOGY AND CONNECTIVITY. OVER 150 PARTICIPANTS ATTENDED THIS LIVE EVENT. ALL ACCESS HEALTHCARETHE WCA'S ALL ACCESS HEALTHCARE SERIES FEATURES AN ARRAY OF KEYNOTE SPEAKERS AND EXPERT PANELISTS, WHO SPOTLIGHT THE INNOVATION AND GROWTH IN HEALTHCARE AND LIFE SCIENCES HAPPENING IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY. PRESENTED VIRTUALLY, GUESTS HAVE ACCESS TO FAR-REACHING PRESENTATIONS AND DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE ADVANCEMENTS AND TRENDS THAT ARE TRANSFORMING HEALTHCARE, AND IMPORTANT POLICY, PUBLIC HEALTH AND TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVES WILL BE BROUGHT FORTH BY EXPERTS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELDS. A TOTAL OF MORE THAN 300 VIEWERS LOGGED ON TO VIEW THE SERIES.
THE WCA WAS AWARDED A GRANT BY WESTCHESTER COUNTY TO CREATE THE HEALTHCARE TALENT PIPELINE PROGRAM (HTPP). THIS GRANT, WHICH RUNS THROUGH 2023 IS DESIGNED TO TRAIN AND PLACE HEALTHCARE WORKERS WITH EMPLOYERS IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY. THE GOAL OF THE HTPP IS TO TRAIN 100 AND PLACE 85.THE Y-ZONE WORK CONTINUED WITH NEW GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CITY OF YONKERS THROUGH A NEW YORK STATE COMMUNITY BLOCK FUND GRANT. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM WAS TO CONNECT 500 HOUSEHOLDS TO THE ACP AND PROVIDE 300 CLIENTS WITH TECHNOLOGY SKILLS EDUCATION AND INTERNET ENABLED DEVICES.
